    How to price diamonds

The price of diamonds and other precious stones is determined by the four main characteristics of weight, color, clarity and cut. Which is briefly explained below how to price brilliant:

    Weight :
Carat is the unit of measurement for the weight of diamonds and other types of precious stones. Every five carats is equal to one gram. The price of a diamond increases exponentially based on its weight, for example, the price of a two-carat diamond of one type is about four times the price of a one-carat diamond of the same type. If, depending on other characteristics, the same difference can be even ten times higher.
Another important point about the weight of the diamond that should be noted is that the 0.99 carat diamond compared to the 1 carat, although they have a very slight weight difference, but their price difference can be up to 50%. This price difference includes 1.99 and 2 carats and other weights as well.

    Color :
In the above list and commonly used stones, the more colorless the diamond, the better. The Latin letters D to O are used to specify the color of diamonds, where D indicates a nearly colorless stone. The difference in the price of color D with a category lower than it, namely E, is more than the price difference of other colors with their neighboring colors. Usually, the color seen in low grades is yellow or brown.
Some special diamond colors such as pink or blue generally have much higher prices due to their rarity.

    Transparency:
Brilliant clarity is measured in degrees from I3 to FL. FL means a stone without any transparency problem and it is very rare. The transparency of the stone is affected by the presence of impurities or cracks or any other problems inside the stone, as well as surface problems of the stone, which has a significant effect on the price of the stone. The transparency of the stone cannot be measured exactly by eye. Stone problems up to class VS i.e. FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2 cannot be detected with the naked eye. If a problem can be seen with the eye, generally the stone is placed in SI2 categories and below.

    Cut:
The type of stone cut and the quality of the cut have a significant effect on the price of the stone. Another thing that is included in this section is the dimensional ratio of the stone. For example, a stone with a high profile is much more expensive than a stone with the same characteristics but a low profile. It is not possible to evaluate stone cutting in high grades with the naked eye.
So far, we have realized that the diagnosis of diamond price must be checked by an expert.

The next part is the price of gold and the cost of making the jewelry base, which takes a significant amount compared to polished gold due to the sensitivity of the type of base in the production of components.

The next issue that maybe few people pay attention to is auctioning jewelry

Auctioneering is a completely manual profession and is included in handicrafts

Many people in Iran are engaged in this profession and install diamonds and other precious stones by hand and other tools on jewelry bases.

    The next step is plating

At this stage, the jewelry enters the radium water solution and absorbs a layer of radium on the surface of the gold by two positive and negative poles.

According to the law of the Union of Jewelry and Jewelry, the profit of the seller is 20% of the total amount of all the above items
